Global hospitality firm prepares for dramatic growth in events business

Portsmouth, NH,  December 1, 2006 — Due to open in the second quarter of 2007, the InterContinental Dubai Festival City and the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City announced that they will implement the Delphi® Multi-Property Edition sales & banqueting solution from Newmarket International for selling and delivering events and conferences.

A shared resource for all of the InterContinental Hotels Group properties at Dubai Festival City, the state-of-the-art Events Centre is situated directly below the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City.  It is the only waterfront events and conference centre in Dubai, with dramatic views of historic Dubai Creek. It encompasses 4,500 square meters (13,500 square feet) of conference and events space across two levels, divisible into ten break-out rooms offering services for small board meetings or large banquets of up to 1,800 guests.  There is a 24-hour business centre and hi-speed Wi-Fi internet access in all public areas.
