MeetingBroker Recognized in 2006 EIBTM
World Wide Technology Watch

Portsmouth, NH,  November 7, 2006 MeetingBrokerSM, by Newmarket International, Inc., was named a finalist for global technology innovation in the 2006 EIBTM World Wide Technology Watch (WWTW) competition, held in London on September 5, 2006.
MeetingBroker is a web based information service that processes electronic requests for proposals (RFPs) sent by meeting planners and provides hospitality professionals the online tools to respond more quickly to them.

WWTW is an exciting EIBTM initiative to identify the most innovative technology developments for the meetings and incentives industry.  WWTW scores applicants on three key areas: innovation and uniqueness, impact on the meeting industry, and completeness of the concept. There were 27 applicants in the 2006 World Wide Technology Watch, and MeetingBroker was among the five honored out of this field.

Hotels are often overwhelmed with the volume of leads coming through multiple distribution channels. Many of these leads go unanswered or are responded to after the business has been awarded. MeetingBroker automatically assigns and processes leads and assures consistent responses to meeting planners across sales channels.

Corbin Ball, chair of the WWTW judging committee, commented, MeetingBroker has standardized leads in a novel way that improves the hotel sales and sourcing process. When planners and suppliers can be on the same page electronically, very significant efficiencies will result.

Newmarket International has deployed MeetingBroker to over 2,100 hotels worldwide.
