Hoteliers Reach Airline Employees
|November 30, 2005 - Northwest, KLM, Alaska, and Skywest are among some
of the many airlines taking advantage of ID90.COMís new online ZED Fare
CalculatorTM & Management System.
The new technology allows airline employees to research their flight travel benefits with other carriers online, a process previously only available by calling. Alaska Airline employees that wish to travel on other carriers such as British Airways will now go through ID90.COM to request their industry tickets.
With an average of over 80,000* ticket requests a year from Northwest employees alone, 300 a day from airlines such as Sourthwest Airlines, it will expand ID90.COMís loyal user base substantially, giving hoteliers a unique opportunity to sell their last-minute distressed inventory.
ďThis easy system will identify fares, depending on the level of the ZED agreement Northwest has with various carriers to a destination, and which family members of that employee are eligible for a ZED ticket,Ē explains Patricia Ruth, Manager Ė Employee Travel Services for Northwest Airlines.
ID90.COM has been helping hoteliers target the airline employee market since 2000, for clients as Wyndham, Hyatt International and Starwood. ďFor airline employees it now becomes a requirement to visit ID90.COM if they wish to take advantage of their flight benefits. Airline employees benefit from the added convenience while ID90.COMís hoteliers benefit from the added traffic,Ē explains Tristan Schukraft, Managing Director of ID90.COM.
Although, some hotel markets are recovering many hoteliers still find ID90.COM an attractive channel to fill last-minute distressed inventory without jeopardizing their rate integrity, often getting a higher ADR than from other channels. With the addition of itsí ZED Fare Calculator, ID90.COMís clients will benefit from the additional traffic and the ability to present their special offers when the airline employee is making their flight arrangements.
ID90.COM is password protected and is promoted internally by 143 airlines from around the globe.
