Dallas, TX June 22, 2004 -
Guest-Tek Interactive Entertainment Ltd., (Guest-Tek or the Company)
(TSX:GTK), a world-class provider of broadband technology solutions for
the hospitality industry, today reported it has launched an innovative
and uniquely-packaged, wireless high-speed Internet solution. The
solution, named GO, caters to the growing demand for high-speed Internet
access in smaller hotels.
GO provides a simple, turnkey solution with many
of the features found in Guest-Teks premiere GlobalSuite solution. The
GO package is a completely integrated solution, which includes Guest-Teks
proven plug-and-play server combined with directional WiFi antennae technology,
prepackaged and ready to work, right out of the box. GO can be installed
in less than 60 minutes by just about anyone. No special technical
knowledge is required.
We developed a totally new solution from the
ground up in response to a well defined market need, said Paul Sullivan,
Chief Executive Officer of Guest-Tek. To stay competitive, this sector
wants a simple turnkey solution to provide to their guests, and GO delivers
just that. Because it is wireless, the GO package is quick and easy
to install. In fact, GO was designed so hoteliers can install it
themselves.
In-Stat MDR analyst Amy Cravens comments, We
have definitely observed a strong interest in HSIA, down-market. While
upscale hotels were typically the early adopters, HSIA is now seen as a
required amenity across all hospitality segments.
Adds Sullivan, As the largest, yet most underserved
segment of the market, hotels operating with 100 rooms or less represent
a significant opportunity for Guest-Tek. With the introduction of GO, we
are delivering on our promise to profitably expand our customer base.
