Bierwirth & Partners Appoint Dolce International to
Manage the 172 room Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee
United Kingdom 21st  June 2004: Dolce International, the leading global Conference & Resort Destinations Company, is celebrating the opening of its second German venue.  On 16 June 2004, Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee was added to the Dolce International property portfolio, under a management contract between Dolce International and Bierwirth & Partners, the owners of the property.

Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee is located half an hour from Berlin city centre, 35km from Tegel International Airport and 12km from Schönefeld Airport on the shores of Müggelsee Lake. The venue offers 20 air-conditioned meeting and syndicate rooms accommodating up to 800 people. Natural and dimmable electrical room lighting and advanced technology create a pleasant working environment in all conditions.  The 172 guestrooms and 4 suites have all the amenities expected from a 4-star property, including fax, internet connection and pay-TV.  Besides the main dining room, there are several private dining options including the unique Wendenturm, the historic tower, available for mediaeval banquets and private functions. Another special feature is the Rübezahl, a separate restaurant, café and terrace with marina located along the lake. The Rübezahl has a capacity of 150 seats and in the summer outside events up to 2000 people are possible.

Andy Dolce, CEO & Chairman Dolce International commented, We are very excited to have been selected to manage Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee. Berlin is a business center with a big demand for meeting facilities; the Berlin area has provided the main focus of our search for a second German venue. With the future growth of Schönefeld airport into an international airport, we feel confident of the business potential of this property. The addition of Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee demonstrates our commitment to growing our portfolio in key European cities.

Parkhotel Berlin Müggelsee also has its own jetty with a regular boat service into the centre of Berlin.

Leisure facilities include: 3 saunas, steam bath, solarium, fitness centre and treatment rooms for beauty treatments and massages. Theres a tennis court and a bowling centre with 8 bowling lanes, billiards and darts facilities. Surfing is also possible.

The property was upgraded 4 years ago by international designers who were inspired by the beauty of the propertys surroundings, so produced a décor that harmonizes the interior with the exterior. Panoramic views can be enjoyed from each rooms balcony and in the summer, delegates can enjoy a coffee break on the lake terrace.

Dolce International, the global leader in providing the worlds best meeting experience, was founded by Andrew Dolce, Chairman and CEO, in 1981. Today Dolce International is the most recognised name in the conference centre industry. Dolce International has announced an aggressive expansion programme, which will double the number of its properties globally within the next three years, concentrating on destinations close to gateway cities across Europe.
