Six Sigma Black Belt Hired to Sell Industry
Leading GuestWare Software
SEATTLE - April 21, 2004 — Diversified Computer Corp., maker of GuestWare, has named Six Sigma Black Belt Adam Werner sales associate. Werner, who began working this week out of the company’s Seattle office, will sell GuestWare software throughout the United States and Canada.

“We are excited to hire someone with such strong experience in process improvement,” says Mike Benjamin, v.p. of sales for Diversified Computer Corp. “Adam is a perfect fit for us because GuestWare is focused on improving processes that ultimately result in increased guest satisfaction. Adam also brings a significant amount of lodging industry experience to this new position.”

Werner previously worked as director of Six Sigma at the Westin Seattle. While in that position, he led implementation of Six Sigma processes in several areas of the hotel. In one instance, Six Sigma methodology helped improve the luggage handling process and significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to deliver luggage to guest rooms. This virtually reduced the number of guest complaints to zero.

Prior to his position as director of Six Sigma, Werner worked as sales manager, reservation sales manager and in several other managerial positions at the Westin Seattle. He received his B.S.B.A. in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management from the University of Denver. He also studied International Hospitality & Tourism Management at the University of Brighton, Eastbourne, in England.

Werner’s responsibilities will include selling GuestWare’s Rapid Response, Guest Recognition, Facilities Maintenance, Comment Card Tracking, Communication Server, Incident Tracking and Enterprise solutions.

Learn more about GuestWare and meet Adam Werner at booth 1336 at this year’s HITEC, June 21-24, at the Dallas Convention Center.
