Richard Rennie Joins Outrigger Guam Resort
as Director of Sales & Marketing
.
HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII - August 11, 2003 - Charlene Goo, Vice President-Operations, Pacific, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard G. Rennie as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Outrigger Guam Resort. In his position, Rennie oversees all sales and marketing efforts on behalf of the three Outrigger-managed hotels on Guam, which include the Outrigger Guam Resort, OHANA Bayview Guam and OHANA Oceanview Guam. Rennie replaces Tom Goresch, who, after 16 years on Guam, has returned to the United States to pursue other interests.

"We're delighted to have a pro like Richard join our Outrigger family on Guam," said Goo. "His sales and marketing experience, coupled with his knowledge of the island and his involvement in the visitor industry here made him the ideal choice to lead and direct Outrigger's marketing efforts on Guam."

Rennie relocated to Guam eleven years ago and spent his first year on island as manager of the Onyx Entertainment Center. In 1992, he joined SandCastle, Incorporated, as director of sales and guest services. It wasn't long before he was promoted to vice president of sales and guest services for this multi-million dollar entertainment complex located in the heart of Guam's Tumon area, a position he held until joining the Outrigger Guam Resort.

Since arriving in Guam, Rennie has served as Chairman of the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association's Public Relations & Marketing committee. He has also served on various committees of the Guam Visitors Bureau, including the Japan, Korea and Asia marketing committees.

Prior to his move to Guam, Rennie managed and operated two full-service restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia, for the Phoenix Restaurant Management group.
Originally from New York, Rennie did his undergraduate studies at Queensborough College and received his BA degree in history from New York University. He also received a Certificate in Advanced Marketing from the Hotel School of Cornell University.

The Outrigger Guam Resort, OHANA Bayview Guam and OHANA Oceanview Guam are all managed by Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, a division of Outrigger Enterprises, Inc., the largest locally owned lodging company in Hawaii and one of the fastest growing lodging companies in the Pacific.
