Prior to her Prestige appointment, Schuerer was Regional Sales Manager for the Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie, Washington where she specialized in corporate group meeting and incentive sales, representing the luxury resort across the U.S.  In her job, Schuerer was involved in coordinating numerous meeting functions such as site selection, activities on and off site and meeting space arrangements.  She has also held positions in event participation and operations management in other jobs. 

Schuerer is serving on the board for Washington State Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and on the Cascadia Conference Committee for the Washington-Oregon MPI 2004 Event.  She is also a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association.
