Awarded Management Contract for
The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera

October 22, 2002 - The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, the luxurious and award-winning mountain, ski and golf resort located in The Vail Valley, Colorado, is being managed beginning this month by Prestige Resorts Management and Consulting, a division of Prestige Hospitality Group. Under the agreement, luxury homes in the Cordillera resort community are also being managed as vacation rental properties.

"The four diamond and four star Lodge and Spa at Cordillera represents the first U.S. property in our newly created management division," said Blair McKeever, CEO of Prestige Hospitality Group. "This management contract is a natural outgrowth of 20 years representing four and five star resorts through Prestige Resorts and Destinations, Ltd. We intend to prudently expand this new management and consulting division with a select group of exquisite boutique properties that can benefit from our expertise," added McKeever.

"We intend to maintain the integrity of the resort's existing operations while adding more unique benefits for our guests," added McKeever. "The standards of excellence will continue to be raised for the resort as we look towards the future."

Prestige expects to increase the resort's occupancy base by utilizing its strong marketing power with its growing US sales presence, a major difference between it and its competitors. It plans to adjust the sales mix by increasing the number of small meeting and incentive groups while attracting more leisure sales using its expertise in these markets. Its specialization in expanding markets and cost controls are other benefits it will implement.

The 56-room Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, located on a 6,500 acre mountaintop resort community, has distinguished itself with top honors for its fine dining, skiing, championship golf and world class spa. Conde Nast Traveler ranked it as the number one ski resort in the US and number two in North America. The publication also ranked the resort as one of the best places to stay in the world with its restaurant Picasso rated the best hotel restaurant in America and second best in the world. And its spa is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 spas in the US by the same publication and Travel and Leisure. The restaurant Picasso has received excellence awards from both Wine Spectator and Esquire Magazine and the distinguished DiRoNa award.

Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Tom Fazio and Dale Pelz utilized their award-winning design skills to each create one of the four golf courses that accentuates the natural mountain landscape. The golf courses and resort have consistently won awards and accolades from Golf Magazine, Golfer Digest and Links Magazine, such as one of the top 10 courses you can play and the 18th top Golf Resort in the World.

Prestige Hospitality Group, celebrating 20 years of business, is the parent company of Prestige Resorts & Destinations, Ltd. and Prestige Resorts Management and Consulting headquartered in Minneapolis.

Prestige Resorts Management and Consulting is the company's newest division created to manage exquisite boutique properties and provide strategic hospitality consulting.
