Houston, Texas, October 1, 2001 Daniel F. Prosser, former CEO and Founder of Telman Technology Partners, Inc. (Telman®), announced today the formation of Conversint, a marketing and communications firm for hospitality industry and technology sector companies who want to gain greater traction in their marketplace.  Market Traction helps build market share, create powerful brand identity, and brings growth to companies. The Market Traction process drives performance and growth across the entire enterprise.

In Telmans earlier years we adopted a process to grow our own company we felt more was possible, even while the hotel marketplace was being negatively impacted by the Gulf War.  By implementing this process, in the first year alone we saw a 1300% increase in revenue. That same year Telman became one Houstons 100 Fastest Growing Companies , Prosser said. We used the same process beginning in 1995 to build our Focused Scorecard software and bring it to market. Our intention all along was to deliver this separate technology to other companies, but we found ourselves too busy developing software at the time, to introduce it. Now seems the best time to introduce Market Traction to the industry.  The fact is, anyone can turn out the kind of organization and marketing breakthroughs we had with our business if they are committed to following the process with their employees.

Similar to how Telmans scorecarding technology was developed, Conversint works with clients to build Accountability & Measurement systems. The process can be used to design and more effectively implement Information Technology that will improve peoples performance and generate sustainable market traction and profits for their business.

Owner expectations, communicating a complicated core business value-proposition, long sales cycles, aligning employees with the mission of the company, as well as a marketplace that makes decisions based more and more on price rather than value, are just a few of the challenges the hospitality industry faces today. Conversint will assist clients with business growth strategies that traditional advertising and marketing companies dont address. After 17 years working with hundreds of hotels to improve their operational performance, as well as marketing and implementing technology solutions, I believe we have a unique understanding of the people and the processes in the hotel industry today. Businesses that use our Market Traction system will achieve more growth and prosperity even in a turbulent market place."

Prosser pioneered the telecom management and services business in 1986, with a mission to transform the way hotels work by bringing people and technology together to produce unprecedented results.  In 1995 Telmans brand name was added to software development. Telman developed the highly successful Focused Scorecard which became the first ever financial and operations management system for hotel management companies.   In December 2000, Prosser announced the sale of his Telman units to two Dallas, Texas companies also in the hospitality industry.

Prosser co-founded the Technology Research and Education Center (TREC) at the Conrad N. Hilton College, where he also serves on the Board of Directors of the college.  TREC is the leading source of technology education content and information in the hotel industry. In 2000, Prosser was honored to become the first non-hotel management recipient to become an Honorary Alumni with the Conrad N. Hilton College University of Houston.
