Telman Founder Takes Major Step in Hotel Technology Development, Selling Both Units of Company

Sale of Telman Software and Telman Telecommunications Units Designed 
to Create New Opportunities for Hotel Industry Technology
HOUSTON � December 11, 2000 � Houston-based Telman®, the leading technology management and software company in the hospitality industry, has announced today the sale of its software company to UniFocus, LP, a preeminent Dallas-based hospitality industry performance management firm. In a separate strategic action, Telman's long-standing telecommunications management company has joined forces with TIV Operations Group, Inc. (�TIV�) a Frisco, Texas (Dallas) based worldwide telecommunications consulting service to the hospitality industry.

In announcing the sale of both companies, Telman CEO and founder Daniel F. Dallas-based UniFocus, the leading organizational performance management firm in the hospitality industry, has acquired Telman�s Software unit.  Telman Software is widely known in the hospitality industry for its Focused Scorecard® software, the world�s first hotel management company information system linking corporate offices with their hotels and automating the flow of critical information to the organization. Focused Scorecard® allows UniFocus to offer its clients the first Hospitality Industry Balanced Scorecard solution with an unprecedented wealth of real-time, dynamic information about customer and employee satisfaction, revenues, labor costs, retention data and the outcomes correlation of these factors. 

As part of the transition, Prosser will join UniFocus as partner and marketing strategist, and Joseph Sullivan, former vice president of operations for Telman, will join UniFocus as chief information officer.

Dallas-based TIV Operations Group Inc., a telecommunications auditing and consulting company to the hospitality industry worldwide, has incorporated the telecommunications unit of Telman into its operational strategy. David Larsen, founder and chief executive officer of TIV and sister company Wiredinn.com Inc., commented that the acquisition would significantly broaden the marketing scope and reach of TIV in the United States.
