November 29, 2001 - Paramount Hospitality Management (PHM) is a newly formed management company comprised of veteran hospitality and vacation ownership industry executives, founded by Kevin Sheehan, co-founder of Vacation Break USA and Marco A. Manzie, CHA, CAM, co-founder of Vacation Break Management. 
 
Both are highly recognized in the vacation ownership and hospitality management for their leadership and tenacity in developing and maintaining award-winning resorts. Mr. Sheehan is recognized for developing Vacation Break USA as a marketing company, which he eventually evolved into one of the most successful timeshare resort development companies in the industry. Mr. Sheehan eventually brought the company public and later lead the company through a successful acquisition by Fairfield Communities, Inc.

highest standards of guest services to the interval ownership experience, while consistently increasing profitability and decreasing developer subsidies. 

This newly formed company is currently involved in the Orlando Summer Bay project and is under negotiations on several other projects including both hotel and vacation ownership. 

The entire Executive Team is comprised of veterans with both recognizable and respected experience in the timeshare and hotel management arenas. Dave Elliot, formerly CFO of Vacation Break Management and Vice President of Accounting for Ocean Properties brings to the team an extensive range of expertise in both hotel and timeshare financial and information technology experience. Mitch Berman joined the team as Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Development after being Vice President of Revenue Management & Electronic Distribution for both Boykin Management Company and GF Management. Previously, Mitch also held the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Vacation Break Management including corporate positions with Servico and Carnival Hotels & Casinos in both Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management positions.

Marco A. Manzie, CHA, CAM

Mr. Manzie is an American Hotel Association Certified Hotel Administrator and a licensed Condominium Association Manager in the state of Florida. He held a seat on the distinguished Resort Development Committee of ARDA (American Resort Development Association). Appointed to the committee in 1995, Mr. Manzie was instrumental in the development of the ARDA Code of Ethics & Standards, which has since been accepted as the official operational guideline for the entire interval ownership industry.  He is an active, appointed member of the Marketing Advisory Committee of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, which determines the marketing dollars spent on tourism for Broward County. 

As Co-Founder and President of Vacation Break Management, and now President of Paramount Hospitality Management, Mr. Manzie successfully applied his years as a seasoned hotel executive to the daily operations of interval ownership resorts; this not only marked each resort with an award winning Gold Crown rating for their outstanding hospitality, service, cleanliness and superior product scores, but more importantly established a new standard throughout the industry.  He has continued to be recognized for his hotel accomplishments, as he is an active member of the Les Aimes d�Escoffier Society of Chicago and the Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotissseurs in Fort Lauderdale.

Kevin Sheehan

Our Managing Partner, co-founded Vacation Break USA in 1987. Under his leadership and industry recognized Sales and Marketing expertise, VBUSA developed into one of the largest privately held timeshare companies in the United States. After taking VBUSA public in 1995, he was able to lead the company to an increase of 375% regarding shareholder value within the first two years. The strength and success of VBUSA made it an ideal acquisition for Fairfield Communities, Inc. (FCI) in 1997 for $280 million.  After the sale of VBUSA to Fairfield, Mr. Sheehan founded Paramount Marketing Consultants, and co-formed Paramount Hospitality Management.  These two companies provide a full range of Vacation Ownership services for both Developers and Associations.

David A. Elliott

Mr. Elliott joined Paramount Hospitality Management as Controller.  Previously he held the position of Controller for Vacation Break Management from 1996-2001. He created and developed both a central and decentralized accounting office which successfully, efficiently and completely handled all financial functions for five resorts, two yacht clubs and the management company.  This seasoned hospitality professional has also successfully incorporated and initiated a central accounting environment in two other hotel management companies including The Fairweather Group and Ocean Hospitality where he held the position of Vice President of Accounting from 1990 to 1995.

Mitchell H. Berman

Mr. Berman rejoins his old friends from Vacation Break Management at Paramount Hospitality Management as Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Development. The experience gained over the past several years has made him only a stronger and more seasoned professional. Mitch has become one of the most recognized and respected Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management Professionals in the entire hospitality industry. His working knowledge of Electronic Marketing and distribution, e-commerce, all hotel brand CRS technology and GDS connectivity is unprecedented throughout the industry. 

As Director of Revenue Management for Servico Hotels & Resorts, Mitch was responsible for over 150 hotels, under 13 flag affiliations, in 35 states, Canada and Europe. He orchestrated the pricing, inventory management and electronic distribution for all Servico and IMPAC properties until the merger of the two companies in January of 1999 when he left to join GF Management as Vice President of Revenue Management. GF Management, a privately held company with 50 hotels in the US, consisting mostly of Starwood, Hilton, Radisson and Holiday branded properties. He supervised the acquisition and conversion process of a portfolio of 8 former Harley Hotels for the company into three Sheraton properties, two Radissons a Clarion and a Ramada.
