Delaware North Names Sam Farrar General Manager at 
Roaring River Inn and Conference Center
CASSVILLE, Mo., Aug. 14, 2001 - Sam Farrar has recently been named general manager at Roaring River Inn and Conference Center. With 7 years of experience in food and beverage management, Farrar has held various management positions including a 4-year stead at the Kennedy Space Center. Roaring River Inn and Conference Center is located in the picturesque southwestern Missouri Ozarks, an area well known for its spectacular trout fishing.
     
A native of Missouri having grown up in St. James, Farrar is happy to be back in his home state and is looking forward to the personal growth opportunities available at Roaring River Inn and Conference Center. Farrar studied at Webster University receiving a BA in Marketing and Business Administration.
     
Prior to joining Roaring River, Farrar was the food and beverage manager for DNPS at Kennedy Space Center. While there he supervised all daily operations, provided financial reports, assisted in the coordination of catering events, formulated menus, and implemented employee training. Previous employers include PepsiCo, serving as senior assistant manager, and Continuum, where he worked as a senior correspondent to upgrade software and processes financial transactions.
 
Delaware North Parks Services (DNPS), the company responsible for providing food service and lodging operations at Roaring River State Park is proud to bring Farrar onto their team. In his position, Farrar oversees the wide range of unique programs and amenities utilized by Roaring River's visitors, including the

day-to-day supervision and management responsibilities of the Inn's foodservice operations including the Tree Top Grille, retail units at the River View Gift Shop and the Orvis Pro Shop, and lodging facilities at the Inn's 26-room lodge and 26 secluded cabins. Farrar supervises a workforce of more than 80 full-and part-time employees.
