Develop Las Cuevitas, a Fractional Ownership Resort North of Puerto Vallarta |
PARK CITY, Utah (August 15, 2001) - Fandango
Resorts, originator of the boutique condominium resort concept, has teamed
up with Holly Farms International to jointly develop Las Cuevitas, a private
beach resort just north of Mexico's popular vacation destination, Puerto
Vallarta.
Set on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches on Mexico's Emerald Coast, the 60-acre Las Cuevitas is protected by a large cove and surrounded by lush vegetation. Located less than an hour north of Puerto Vallarta, Las Cuevitas is accessible by most major airlines. A growing real estate market in Mexico has brought many high-profile luxury resorts into the country, including Punta Mita near Puerto Vallarta (which is anchored by the first Four Seasons resort in Mexico), The Ritz-Carlton and Mandarin Hotel in Cancun, and Las Ventanas in Los Cabos. The combined team of Fandango Resorts and Holly Farms International, the owner/operator of the highly successful Holly Farm in Carmel, California, and Crall Constructors and Development Company, is creating Las Cuevitas - an oceanfront intimate retreat for people desiring the utmost in privacy, security and relaxation. It offers consumers the best of both worlds -- a luxury hotel type of vacation with an ownership package. "Fractional ownership packages are a very powerful trend in the real estate market today, and we'll see it grow stronger and stronger," says Bill Shoaf, president and CEO of Fandango Resorts. "Because so many of the best smaller hotels have been absorbed by large hotel chains, the discriminating traveler is left with few options for unique, high-end travel experiences. We have revived this standard by creating handcrafted properties in irreplaceable settings, with top-of-the-line amenities and services and the invaluable luxury of ownership options." Las Cuevitas is such a project. It will include 30 individual casitas and 20 one-acre lots for villa development, a restaurant, meeting facilities and a spa. Each 1,000-square-foot casita is beautifully designed and includes a private courtyard entry, large living and dining room area, butler's kitchen, master bedroom suite with adjoining dressing room, bathroom with his-and-hers sinks, separate bathtub and shower, and a secluded outdoor garden shower. The bedroom doors open up onto a private lanai with spa and plunge pool. In addition to an on-site restaurant, room service will be available. Shopping and dining also are offered nearby in the charming Mexican village of Divisadero. Slated for completion in January of 2002, the casitas began construction in January of this year. The one-acre lots are slated for twenty 3,250-square-foot villas, scheduled to begin construction in January, 2002. Crall Constructors and Development Company is a leader in resort development. Michael and George Crall have managed the development of some of the world's most exclusive hotels and resorts, including the Residences at Spanish Bay in Pebble Beach, Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, and Pasadera Country Club in Monterey, CA. William Shoaf and Matthew Bailey, the principals of Fandango Resorts
who will be managing the Las Cuevitas project, know a thing or two about
running world-class resorts. Between the two of them, they have over 45
years of development and operational experience with deluxe resorts and
hotels recognized as the best in the world, including Mauna Lani Bay, Kapalua
Bay, and Manele Bay in Hawaii;
