BIG BEAR, Calif. Prestige Resort Development has broken
ground on its $90+ million The Club at Big Bear Village, the first of its
kind in Southern California and the largest private residence resort in
the country.
Pamela Jandt, CEO of Prestige, says that the
project, which began sales in early December 2000, is meeting sales projections
and has already launched second-tier pricing beginning at $114,000 for
a three-bedroom and $134,000 for a four-bedroom:
"The demand has been gratifying, which isn¹t a surprise, since
The Club has such a large drive-to market. From almost any place
in Southern California, it¹s only a two-hour drive.

Big Bear is a vastly different market than most, because it¹s easy
to reach, and Southern California has the population from which to draw.
Just as important it has a tremendous concentration of affluence," she
says.
Jandt adds that Big Bear enjoys a confluence of visitors from throughout
the region, and many are seeking to buy real estate. "It¹s a
pristine area, and those looking for value-for-price will find it here,"
she says.
The Club at Big Bear Village is scheduled to open late summer of 2001.
It is designed for prospective buyers interested in a second home without
the complexities of traditional vacation home ownership. It will
be a gated
private residence club and high-end resort, owned by 610 members, each
with a 1/10 undivided, deeded interest ownership. Units include spacious
three and four bedroom townhouses, and three manors. Each has professionally
designed interiors with high-quality fixtures and amenities. |
