San Francisco's General Manager Volker Ulrich recently named Robert Knigge
as the new Director of Sales & Marketing, effective May 24,1999. Knigge
will be responsible for managing a staff of 8 sales managers and assistants
and will also oversee the catering and convention services staff of 7.
Knigge was most recently the Director of Sales & Marketing at San Francisco's Sir Francis Drake Hotel. In addition, he has held several sales management positions with such properties as the Resort at Squaw Creek, Lake Tahoe; International Hotel Company, which represents the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa and the Biltmore Hotel; Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport; Hyatt Regency La Jolla; and Hyatt Regency Oak Brook. A native of Seattle, WA, Knigge received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Washington in Seattle. He is a member of Meeting Professionals International.
