Kaldor will oversee the operations of Accor�s five hotels in Vietnam � the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi, Sofitel Dalat Palace, Novotel Dalat, Novotel Ocean Dunes Resort (Phan Thiet) and the new Sofitel Saigon Plaza. Accor is the largest international hotel group in Vietnam, and Sofitel Metropole Hanoi was the first hotel in Vietnam to be rated officially as a 5-star hotel. Mr Kaldor has been a General Manager in Sofitel hotels for a number of years, coming

to the Sofitel Metropole after managing the historic Sofitel Central Hua Hin in Thailand and the Sofitel Hyland Shanghai in China. 

Accor also announced a new General Manager at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza. Jacques Serpollier, takes over from Mr Ricardo Perran, who has retired after an illustrious career in the hotel industry. Mr Perran joined Accor in 1987 and played a pioneering role in Accor�s expansion into Vietnam, being appointed as General Manager of the Sofitel Metropole in 1991 and then opening the Sofitel Saigon Plaza last year. Mr Perran was recently awarded the Chevalier in the National Order of Merit, recommended by the French Embassy in Hanoi. 

Mr Serpollier joins the Sofitel Plaza Saigon after 26 years of high-level experience with Accor, working in France, the French Caribbean, New Caledonia and Indonesia. Most recently, he was General Manager of Novotel hotels in Malaysia and Singapore. 

In another anouncement, Edouard George has been appointed Regional Director of Sales - Accor Vietnam, effective from 1st April. Mr George is highly experienced in Vietnam, having worked at both Sofitel Metropole Hanoi and Sofitel Saigon Plaza. Previously he managed Accor Asia Pacific�s sales office in Paris. 

Accor is the largest hotel operator in Vietnam. The company operates Sofitel hotels in Hanoi, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and Dalat, as well Novotel hotels in Dalat and Phan Thiet.
