LOS ANGELES - Jan. 29, 1999--The Summit Hotel Bel-Air has
officially changed its name to the Luxe Summit Hotel Bel-Air, Efrem Harkham,
chairman of Luxe Hospitality Co. L.L.C, announced Friday.
The property is managed by the recently established Luxe Hospitality
Co., which provides reservations,
marketing and management services for personalized, high-end hotels on
a global basis. "We are pleased to make this formal name change and become
the flagship hotel to an expanding chain of upscale hotels worldwide,"
Harkham said.
Under Luxe Hospitality's direction, the Luxe Summit Hotel Bel-Air will
continue to offer first-class accommodations to business and leisure travelers.
Nestled in the hills above Bel-Air, Calif., the resort-like, intimate property
with 162 spacious rooms, sits on seven acres.
Luxe Hospitality Co., based in Los Angeles, is a private, diversified
hospitality organization providing global reservations, marketing and management
services, and franchise affiliation. The company represents more than 200
upscale hotels internationally and will be providing a unique franchise
system for independent, luxury hotels offering guests a more intimate and
