General
Manager and welcomes Kris Mosier as Director of Sales. The

satisfaction, and several Meeting Excellence Awards. “I was privileged to be part of the opening team for the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West, and am now honored to become General Manager,” said Palmer. “I look forward to maintaining our high standards for quality and customer service, and continuing to be among Crowne Plaza’s leading hotels in North America.” Palmer is a 27-year veteran of the hospitality industry, serving as General Manager of the Hawthorne Suites in Kenosha, WI since June of 2000, and then leading its conversion to a Holiday Inn Express in 2007. He assisted in opening the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West in 2008 and was appointed Director of Sales in 2009. Since then, there has been a steady increase in business, and the hotel’s 7,000 square foot conference center has established itself as an integral component of the Milwaukee Research Park and active community partner, hosting Make-A-Wish, Children’s Hospital and other fundraisers annually. Palmer is a member of the Convention Sales Committee of Visit Milwaukee and an active participant in the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce. Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West’s new Director of Sales, Kris Mosier, has nearly 15 years’ experience in the industry and began her career as a Catering Manager and Director of Catering with Holiday Inn hotels in Davenport, IA and Rolling Meadows, IL. For six years, she was Director of Catering for the Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc, WI and promoted to Interim Director of Sales. She joined Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West in 2010 as Catering Manager and Social Event Coordinator, and has also served as Director of Catering for Marriott Milwaukee West. Mosier served five years on the Food and Beverage Committee for the annual “Ridin’ to a Cure” breast cancer research fundraiser benefitting Medical College of Wisconsin; is a member of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) and serves on its Membership Committee, and is a Certified Food and Beverage Executive of the Hotel and Lodging Association.
