Robert Ferree Joins Marshall Hotels & Resorts as
Vice President of Operations

SALISBURY, Md.- March 26, 2012--Officials of Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a leading, Maryland-based hotel management and services company, today announced that Robert Ferree has joined the company as vice president of operations. He will oversee a number of properties in Marshall’s existing management portfolio and play a pivotal role in the company’s plan to expand its management portfolio west of the Mississippi from his base of operations in Denver.

“Bob’s numerous contacts in the financial community and proven experience as an operator make him an excellent addition to our team as we set our sights westward,” said Mike Marshall, president and CEO. “His track record of generating superior returns in cost control while maintaining high guest and associate satisfaction scores was a major plus.”

Ferree is a 28-year hotel industry veteran. Prior to joining Marshall, he was vice president of operations with corporate responsibility for a team of portfolio managers at Richfield Hospitality, Inc. Ferree began his hospitality career in Orlando, following 13 years as a Michigan State Police Officer.

“In police work, you interact with people at some of their lowest moments and work to make things better,” Ferree noted. “In the hospitality industry, you help them to make some of their best memories. In both cases, you need to read people quickly, anticipate their needs and figure out how to make them happier than when you first met them. It’s all about service, and that applies to guests, associates and owners alike.”
