(NYSE:MAR; http://www.marriott.com) is scheduled to open the 92-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday, February 22, 2012.  The hotel will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to.  Located at 605 32nd Avenue SW, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Hawkeye Hotels of Burlington, Iowa.
