The 210-room Holiday Inn Bur Dubai-Embassy District Opens in Dubai through
a Management Agreement with the MOBH Group and a Re-branding of their
Excelsior Creek Hotel

November 2011 - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed an agreement with Mohamed Omar Bin Haider Group (MOBH GROUP), to take over the management of a 210-bedroom hotel in Bur Dubai’s embassy district. Formerly operating as Excelsior Creek Hotel, guests woke up to a fresh new look and a warm Holiday Inn welcome when the hotel re-branded becoming, Holiday Inn Bur Dubai-Embassy District on 1st November 2011.

With over 3,300 hotels worldwide, Holiday Inn hotels is the most widely recognised hotel brand in the world, and has recently undergone a $1bn global refresh project, the largest in the hospitality industry. The recent addition of Holiday Inn Bur Dubai-Embassy District to the portfolio carries all the new brand hallmarks of Holiday Inn and adds to the Middle East’s already strong foothold in the mid scale market.

For MOBH Group, who already own two Holiday Inn hotels under IHG management in the UAE, the acquisition of a third was a natural partnership.  Omar Mohamed Bin Haider, Deputy Chairman of MOBH Group commented “We believe in the strength of the Holiday Inn brand so IHG was a natural choice as a management company when we made the decision to rebrand this hotel. The Holiday Inn Bur Dubai-Embassy District offers 210-rooms and is perfectly located in the heart of the diplomatic district with the Dubai Metro, Burjuman Centre and the Creek on its doorstep.  This together with its close proximity to Dubai International Airport and Dubai International Exhibition Centre positions the hotel as the ideal choice for corporate markets.

The hotel features 5 fully equipped conference rooms with a large ballroom that holds up to 500 guests providing convenient banqueting and event solutions.  High-speed Internet in every room and across all public areas of the hotel allows guests to stay connected around the clock.  The extensive gym and relaxing steam and sauna rooms will invigorate whilst the 24-hour room service keeps hunger at bay.  The Anwar restaurant serves up international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Two Guineas adds some tasty pub grub and drinks to the menu.
