Americas Best Value Inn Expands its Development Department
with 4 New Membership Development Directors
Including a Husband and Wife Team

(CLEVELAND, August 23, 2011) – As the Americas Best Value Inn® and Canadas Best Value Inn® hotel brands continue their rapid growth throughout North America, their membership development department is also expanding with several seasoned development professionals. The company announced today that Don and Cheri Eaton, Kenneth Lisi and David Silver have joined the corporate team as membership development directors.

Married for 33 years, the Eatons own and manage the Americas Best Value Inn & Suites in Thief River Falls, MN.  They’ve owned the property for 14 years, converted it to an ABVI four years ago, and last year won the brand’s prestigious Inn Unity award for hotels with under 60 rooms. They are directing ABVI development in the Mountain North Region of the U.S.

“Our property was previously branded with other major chains. Since our conversion to ABVI, our bottom-line revenue has increased substantially and, best of all, we have a voice and vote in all major brand guidelines. We were so impressed with ABVI’s model and performance that we decided to join the development team.”

Lisi, who handles the Northeast/New England Region for ABVI, has worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, bringing experience from both full-service and limited-service properties as Regional Director of Operations, General Manager, Sales Manager, and F&B Manager for flagged hotels such as Hilton, Ramada, Best Western, and Sunrise Suites Hotels. He was also a Senior Quality Assurance inspector for the entire Northeast Region for Cendant Corporation.

Silver comes from a sales, management, operational and marketing background.  His experience includes over five years in franchise sales and marketing for Instant Imprints, Hometown Times, Expense Reduction Analysts, Tile Outlet Always in Stock and The Lease Coach. Silver spearheads ABVI development in Southern California and Arizona.

“The Eatons are the first husband and wife sales development team in the history of our organization. They are a perfect fit, as they embody the spirit of our members and the development team, and the shared goals they have. Kenneth and David have both distinguished themselves with impressive sales accomplishments in past positions and we look forward to them taking the brand to new heights,” said ABVI Vice President of Development and long-time industry expert Patrick Mullinix.
