June 15, 2010 --Tulsa isn't the only Green Country location getting new hotels, as a Hilton Garden Inn just opened in Bartlesville.
The 100-room hotel, which includes an attached Great American Grill restaurant, opened last week at 205 SW Frank Phillips Boulevard.
Shaunna Grace, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn, said Kansas-based Sunway Hotel Group, the developers and owners of the property, were enthusiastic about opening in the city.
"It was a great location, and a good opportunity for them and Bartlesville," she said.
She didn't disclose the construction price.
The Hilton Garden Inn is the first facility the company has opened near Tulsa. Sunway operates nine other hotels in the region.
Grace said she didn't know whether Sunway plans to build more in the area.
"They're very community minded, so when picking new locations they want to make sure it's a good move for the community, as well as a good business opportunity," she said.
Each room of the Hilton Garden Inn features the Garden Sleep System bed, which self-adjusts to different body shapes and weights, while relieving tension from pressure points.
Other hotel amenities include free Wi-Fi, a business center, 7,500 square feet of meeting space, HDTVs, digital music player-compatible alarm clocks and a fitness center.<>The Great American Grill has a full bar and offers a variety of cuisines, including health-conscious fare like blackened salmon, along with traditional favorites like burgers and ribeye steaks, Grace said. >
