Industry Veteran Peter Strebel Rejoins Omni Hotels & Resorts
as New Area Managing Director


IRVING, Texas, Jan. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Strebel as an Area Managing Director for the luxury hotel brand effective immediately.  Strebel will serve as General Manager of the company's flagship property in midtown Manhattan, the award-winning Omni Berkshire Place, and also oversee the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale and the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal in Montreal, Quebec.

Strebel previously enjoyed a successful 10-year career with Omni Hotels & Resorts in Sales and Marketing, lastly as serving as the brand's Vice President, Sales and Marketing.  In 2001, Strebel joined the Wyndham Hotel Group serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.  After four years, he was promoted to President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.  Strebel joined Dolce Hotels International as Chief Revenue Officer in 2008.
