February 11, 2010 --Great Wolf Resorts has named a new general manager for the chain's Grand Mound location, the company announced Wednesday.

Mike Lusky, previously general manager at the chain's Traverse City, Mich., location, was appointed to the position after the departure of previous GM Derrek Kinzel.

Kinzel now serves as regional vice president for operations at Great Wolf Resorts in Madison, Wis.

Prior to being employed with Great Wolf Resorts, Lusky was the vice president and general manager of Frontier City and White Water Bay in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Lusky said he looks forward to serving the local area as the top man at the Grand Mound resort.

"My number one mission is to grow our business in the area," said Lusky.

"We want to grow our brand not just for families on vacation, but also businesses holding conventions and meetings," he said.

"It's a beautiful environment to raise a family and I'm excited to be here," Lusky said.

Great Wolf Resorts owns and operates thirteen northwoods-themed hotels and waterparks in 12 states.

The Grand Mound location opened in March 2008 and features 398 all-suite guest rooms, a 60,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, two family restaurants, and numerous attractions and amenities for children and adults alike.
