CHICAGO, IL, January 29 � Harrison County�s Convention and Visitors Bureau hired Hunden Strategic Partners (HSP) to assist in selecting a development team to develop and construct a hotel and conference center project. This RFP comes after an in-depth market and financial feasibility study and set of recommendations for the project.

HSP is working with Harrison County to conduct the search and review proposals from developers to design and construct a 38,000 square foot conference center and 125-room hotel and related infrastructure, as well as operate one or both facilities. The request for proposal was released January 19th and is available at www.hundenpartners.com.  

The County will host a site visit and pre-proposal meeting February 16, followed by a submittal deadline of March 5. Reports and studies performed by HSP and Purdue University for this project are available on HSP�s website.

Given the current state of development financing, the project sponsors recognize that incentives will be necessary to assemble the proper financing package with the top-ranked developer.

The project is to be located in downtown Corydon, Indiana � the original state capitol of Indiana. The County�s economy benefits from one of the largest casinos in the state, its natural and physical beauty, quaint downtown, and location approximately 40 minutes west of Louisville, Kentucky.
