New 15-Year Contract Expected to Begin January
1, 2007
AVON, Colo., May 31, 2006 - Vail Resorts, Inc., (NYSE: MTN) announced
today that its subsidiary, Grand Teton Lodge Company (GTLC), has been selected
to continue as the concessionaire in Grand Teton National Park. GTLC will
be meeting with the National Park Service over the next several months
to finalize the 15-year contract, expected to begin on Jan. 1, 2007. GTLC
has held the concession contract for the past 54 years under two consecutive
contracts providing lodging, restaurants, activities and retail services.

Jenny Lake Lodge

Lake Lodge, situated at the foot of the Grand Tetons, is the perfect mountain

AAA Four-Diamond accommodations with 31 cabins and six suites located amid
the forest around the main lodge.

dinner, horseback riding, and the use of bicycles are included in the room
rate, which begins at $475 per night. Jenny Lake Lodge is open from
June through early October.
Jenny Lake Lodge is within walking distance of three lakes � Jackson
Lake, Leigh Lake and Jenny Lake � each named with historical significance.
Some of the 37 cabins are also historical being part of the original dude
ranch, called the Danny Ranch, which was built on the property at the beginning
of the century. The cabins have a rustic but charming western ambiance
and are delightfully appointed with down comforters, handmade quilts and
organic cotton bathrobes. Telephones are available in the cabins,
but in keeping with the National Park setting, there are no televisions
or radios. Each cabin is self-contained with one or two beds and
a bathroom. The cabin�s porch provides a tranquil haven to enjoy
the sights and sounds of the area.
The Jenny Lake Dining Room offers a causally-elegant, prix-fixe five-course
dinner and an extensive award-winning wine list that has been recognized
by Wine Spectator. The menu is Rocky Mountain cuisine which translates
to American/French with some game and regional fare, and is served during
two seatings at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. A continental breakfast is
available from 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the lobby with the main breakfast
served in the dining room from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Lunch is

Attentive service is one attribute that has Jenny Lake Lodge guests
returning year after year. From arranging an in-room massage to scheduling

Originally known as the Danny Ranch, the lodge hosted 23 guests in its
first year in 1923. Original guests were mainly Easterners who had
the means and the adventuresome spirits to try the western life for a few
summer weeks. The ranch was renamed Jenny Lake Ranch in 1937, and
by 1942 the ranch�s guest capacity grew to 65. By 1949 Jenny Lake
Ranch was considered the top facility of the Grand Teton Lodge and Transportation
Company�s properties. After the 1951 season, its name was changed
to Jenny Lake Lodge. Prominent people such as Princess Grace of Monaco
and her family vacationed at the ranch. Today, Jenny Lake Lodge serves
host to a variety of guests annually.
