Honorees Represent �Best In Sales� Across
the Chain�s Diverse Brands
Silver Spring, Md. (February 27, 2006) � Choice Hotels International,
Inc., (NYSE:CHH) recently honored its franchise sales and development team
for their performance in 2005 at the group�s annual awards dinner at The
Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
"Our 2005 salesperson of the year award winners have brought great
value to Choice as a result of their efforts," said David Pepper, senior
vice president, franchise growth and performance. "The franchise sales
team had another record-breaking year with 639 executed contracts in 2005,
continuing our pattern of record growth from 2004 and establishing a standard
by which we will measure 2006."
On hand to present the awards were Joe Squeri, executive vice president
and chief financial officer; Pepper; Brian Parker, vice president, emerging
markets and new business development; Ron Burgett, vice president, franchise
sales and development; and Brad LeBlanc, vice president, franchise sales
for the Cambria Suites brand.

The Trapani award, which recognizes the highest sales achievement,
honors Victor G. Trapani, a Choice franchise sales executive who lost his
battle with cancer in 1995. The Paul Sterbini excellence award, named after
a retired Choice vice president, is given to the salesperson who best exemplifies
Sterbini�s passion.
