PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS (AUGUST 30, 2005)
The Palms, a $95 million luxury resort in the Turks & Caicos Islands,
and member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World, has named Matthew
Bartle Front Office Manager. The announcement was made by William K. Anderson,
Managing Director of The Palms. Mr. Bartle brings over 10 years of experience
in the hospitality industry and is responsible for supervising the front
office, reservations and concierge staff.
Most recently, Mr. Bartle was the Front Office Manager and Front Desk Director of Spa Services at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. He oversaw the daily operations of the hotel s full-service luxury spa and was responsible for training the front office and concierge staff. Matthew s understanding of luxury and service, paired with his extensive experience in the industry, make him the perfect match for The Palms, Anderson said. Bartle s previous work experience included front office positions at the Intercontinental Hotel in Central Park and Hotel Intercontinental Barclay, both in New York City. In 2002, Mobil Travel Guide awarded Bartle with its Best of the Best employee award. A graduate of Bergen College in New Jersey, Bartle has a degree in Hotel and Business Management. Inspired by the classic estates of Oliver Messel, The Palms lies amidst 12 acres of landscaped gardens at the edge of renowned Grace Bay Beach. Its 72 two-and three-bedroom guest residences feature no less than 1,500 square feet of living space with expansive outdoor terraces, marble floors, vaulted ceilings and custom made mahogany furnishings. Other features include a $1.8 million infinity pool, and unique services ranging from iPod minis for guests use, aromatherapy mists and tropical sorbets poolside, to in-pool dining at in-water banquettes. |
