Mintek Introduces WinTrack PM Management Alerts; 
New System Delivers Maintenance Data by E-mail
or Pager, Helps Owners Manage Assets Effectively

DUNEDIN, FLA.—June 22, 2004—Mintek Mobile Data Solutions, maker of WinTrack PM, the lodging industry’s leading mobile preventative maintenance solution, has introduced WinTrack PM Management Alerts, an addition to its WinTrack PM Management Portal. The new system proactively distributes critical engineering, maintenance and work information to managers and employees via e-mail or pager.

“We are excited about offering our customers this new technology,” says Mark Sokol, director of product marketing for Dunedin, Fla.-based Mintek Mobile Data Solutions. “Our WinTrack PM Management Portal already gives our customers the ability to monitor preventative maintenance progress online. WinTrack PM Management Alerts takes that one step farther and gives users the ability to oversee maintenance tasks no matter where they happen to be.”

The parameters for an alert can be set for any event or situation within WinTrack’s preventative maintenance system. For example, a regional manager may wish to be notified when any of his properties have a certain number of overdue work orders. When that point is reached, a text message would be sent by e-mail or pager. The message can be modified to include the property-specific information so that a manager can take action to validate status or coordinate an action plan.

“Messages sent using WinTrack PM Management Alerts can include fixed text and variable text from within the system so the information that is sent is communicated effectively,” Sokol says. “The criteria selection can be created using a SQL tool builder or a SQL statement. Currently the Alerts feature is only for users of the WinTrack PM Management Portal. There are no hardware costs associated with the system. This is a hosted application that works side by side with the WinTrack PM Management Portal.”

In addition to maintenance issues such as overdue work orders, WinTrack PM Management Portal and WinTrack PM Management Alerts enable a manager to monitor what preventative maintenance work and rounds tasks are done, and how often they are done.
