HONOLULU, March 2003 - Ronald J. Holecek, AIA,
president and chief executive officer of Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo
Architects, Designers, Planners and Consultants (WATG), has announced the
promotion of Chao �Robert� Zheng to Director of Business Development, Greater
China.
Born and raised in China, Zheng received a bachelor of science degree in engineering and then came to the University of Hawaii, where he earned a master�s degree from the School of Travel Industry Management (TIM), and was honored as the �Outstanding Graduate Student� by the College of Business Administration and the TIM School. Chuck Gee, Dean Emeritus of the TIM school, notes that Zheng is �particularly well qualified by virtue of his bicultural and bilingual fluency in business practices as they apply to the hospitality industry.� Zheng is past president of the Hawaii Mainland China Overseas Association; under his leadership, the Association more than tripled its membership. Since its founding in 1945, Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) has become the world�s leading design consultant for the hospitality, leisure, and entertainment industries.
