Day Hospitality Group's In-house Training University
Opens Door to the Public
-
ATLANTA (April 12, 2002) - Day Hospitality Group recently announced hotel industry training and general leadership classes open to the public through Ashford Institute. Related classes conveniently arranged in two or three-day blocks of time include modules in Sales, Facilities, Leadership and Self-Improvement.

Ashford Institute is a certificate program designed to provide many unique learning opportunities, said Tamara Markham, Director of Training for Day Hospitality Group who heads the program.  The courses are intimate in
size and allow time for interactive learning.

She went on to explain that the Ashford Institute faculty represents over 50 years of experience in both the hospitality industry and leadership.   Each class provides materials, ideas and knowledge that will benefit attendees
both in the workplace and at home.

An Atlanta-based hotel development and management company, Day Hospitality Group (DHG) founded the corporate university under the direction of its president Fred Cerrone to offer in-house training to its employees. Ashford Institute offered more than 40 classes and operated at near-capacity registration during its first two semesters.

We tested the waters, received a strong, positive response, and decided to offer our expertise to others in our industry and to the general public, said Cerrone.  AI meets the needs of people who want the opportunity to
grow in their jobs and in their personal lives.
