The All Seasons Darling Harbour in Sydney to be
Rebranded Novotel Century Sydney

19 October 2001: The All Seasons Darling Harbour in Sydney is to be rebranded Novotel Century Sydney on 1 November.

It will be the fourth Novotel in Sydney, joining the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, Novotel Brighton Beach and Novotel Homebush Bay.

Announcing the launch of Novotel Century Sydney, Accor Managing Director Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific and Japan, Michael Issenberg, said: "The move reflects the importance of global branding today. While All Seasons is a very strong local brand, and given that Sydney attracts vast

numbers of international travellers, a globally-recognised brand such as Novotel is more relevant for this hotel. Travellers then know exactly what to expect in terms of facilities and standards.

"The rebranding of the All Seasons hotel to Novotel reflects its contemporary style and central location to Sydney's business districts and Darling Harbour."

Mr Issenberg said it was usual for Accor to operate a number of hotels under the same brand in key cities, and the Novotel Century name would help differentiate the hotel from the nearby Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour.

The Novotel Century Sydney is one of the city's most recent hotels, having been launched as the All Seasons in 1999. Located opposite the Sydney Entertainment Centre and the Darling Harbour precinct, the hotel is a popular venue for leisure and business travellers, as well as delegates attending conferences at the adjacent Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The hotel's 223 rooms offer Philippe Starck interior designs and a feature of the hotel is the Pumphouse Restaurant, with its distinctive 110 year old facade. Other facilities include conference rooms, business centre, lap pool and fitness centre.

Accor is the worldwide leader in travel, tourism and corporate services, employing 145,000 employees in 140 countries.
