Catherine A. Tondelli Joins Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo as Director of Business Development in London

LONDON September 2000 Catherine A. Tondelli has joined Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) as director of business development.  Based in the firms London office, Cathy will have primary responsibility for managing WATGs growing European hospitality business.

A graduate of Northeastern University, Tondelli has been a board member of the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality and is national co-chair of fundraising for Africare.  For the past eight years, she has been involved in hospitality publishing, sales and marketing most recently with Cahners Publishings Hotels magazine, Hotels Investment Outlook and Asian Hotelier magazine.

Cathy is well known, well-liked and well-respected in the hospitality industry, says WATG senior vice president Howard J. Wolff.  We are thrilled that she has chosen to join us.

WATG has had an office in London for 10 years and has completed such projects as Legoland Theme Park in Windsor, Hotel Disneyland at Disneyland Paris, the renovation of Claridges, and numerous other projects; but WATG is not yet a household name in Europe.  Cathy will help raise our profile, according to Wolff.

I have known and respected the people at WATG for years, says Tondelli.  Helping the worlds number one hospitality and leisure design firm expand their already successful practice is an opportunity that I am extremely excited about.  The firm recently added advisory services and interior design capabilities to the roster of services it offers to clients, and I see great potential for growth.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, WATG has designed more of the worlds great hotels and resorts than any other firm.  Specializing in hospitality, leisure and entertainment design since 1945, WATG has completed work in 119 countries from its offices in London, Singapore, Newport Beach and Honolulu.  Projects the firm has designed include Regency Casino in Thessaloniki, Greece; Hyatt Amman in Jordan; Le Meridian Limmasol in Cyprus; The Palace of the Lost City in South Africa; and the Royal Mirage in Dubai.
