M.S. Chun, AIA, was elected to the newly created position of Vice Chairman
of Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WAT&G) by the firm�s board of directors.
Recognizing Chun�s value to WAT&G, Chaiman Don Goo said, �In the 23 years he has been with the firm, Mike has excelled in many areas � first, as a project architect, then as principal and managing director of our fast-growing Newport Beach Office, as a major client executive and as a member of the board.� With his new title, Chun will assume additional responsibilities relative to the business operations of the board of directors for what has become the world�s number one hospitality and leisure design firm according to �World Architecture� magazine. Chun has been responsible for directing many of WAT&G�s award-winning projects, including Disney�s Grand Floridian Beach Resort in Orlando, Florida; Fiesta Americana Hotel and Timeshare in Los Cabos, Mexico; The Breakers Spa & Beach Club in West Palm Beach, Florida; The Waterfront Hilton Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, California; and Broken Top in Bend, Oregon. He is currently working on projects in California, Florida, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Ireland. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Chun is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the International Society of Hospitality Consultants and La Asociacion Mexicana de Arquitectos en Tourismo y Recreacion. Founded in 1945, WAT&G has designed places for people to play and stay in 119 countries and territories on six continents from offices in Newport Beach, Honolulu, London and Singapore. |
