to Increase Web Efficiency for Meeting Planners

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., and CLEVELAND, Sept. 21, 2000 - Newmarket International, Inc. and PlanSoft Corporation jointly announced today that they have reached a milestone agreement to leverage MeetingBroker.com, Newmarket�s Internet service that routes sales leads from meeting planners� e-RFP sites to hotels and destinations.

MeetingBroker.com is an open system that forwards sales leads from member e-RFP sites directly into sales automation systems installed at hotels, sales offices, or destinations for immediate follow-up.  The power of MeetingBroker.com is that it enables hotels to immediately evaluate and accept business, merge a proposal, and e-mail it back to the planner in minutes, saving hours or days.  Another benefit of using MeetingBroker.com is that once leads are routed to the sales automation system, they are stored for tracking and for future opportunities.

With the introduction of an enhanced online RFP earlier this year, PlanSoft continues to lead the industry in online meeting planning solutions by providing professional meeting planners the most efficient and comprehensive method to gather facility proposals via the Internet.  PlanSoft�s online RFP product is based on a high-tech/high-touch philosophy of customer service.  The PlanSoft RFP staff, which processes 100,000 group room nights per month, is available to answer customer service calls on a toll-free support line.  Once a planner sends an RFP, PlanSoft contacts the facility to make sure the RFP has been received, and that the facility responds by the planner�s due date.  PlanSoft receives the facility responses and posts them to a password-protected portion of the PlanSoft Network, making it is easy for planners to find detailed information about their RFP responses.
