PARIS, July 27, 2000 - Accor consolidated sales
rose by 16.2% in the first half of 2000 to 3,316 million EUR as compared
to 2,854 million EUR in the first half of 1999. Excluding asset disposals
(ie mainly Europcar car rental activities), sales were up 24.6% and 20.7%
excluding asset disposals and currency impacts. This increase confirms
the very good performance recorded during the first quarter, reflecting
sustained growth of existing activities and new business development.
The increase of 16.2% on a published basis breaks down as follows:

Hotels: +31.6%
Hotel activities recorded strong growth: +31.6%, reflecting a 6.6%
increase at existing units and a 22.4% growth from new business development
(with particularly Red Roof Inns, consolidated since July 1st, 1999).
In addition, foreign currency fluctuations had a 4.2% positive impact,
primarily reflecting the higher exchange rate of the US dollar.
Services: +21%
Revenues from Services rose by 21%, reflecting a 6.5% increase in existing
activities, a 5% growth from new business development and a 7.5% positive
impact of currency changes, mainly Brazilian real and US dollar.
Other Activities of Travel and Tourism: +13%

Travel management: +23.4% (+10.5% on a constant structural and currency
terms).

Casinos: +32.6% (+12.7% on a like-for-like basis).

Restaurants and catering: +5.6%.

Onboard train services: -0.1% (+1.5% excluding disposals).
