Paris, February 9, 2000. - Accor upgrades
its 1999 result forecasts, taking into account the better than expected
fourth quarter sales.
Total income from operations should post an increase of 18%, at EUR 587 million (FRF 3,850 million), compared to the previous forecast of 15%. Net income, Group share, should increase by 15% to EUR 342 million (FRF 2,245 million), compared to the previous forecast of 10%. 1999 Accor consolidated sales, published on February 4, posted EUR 6,105 million, up 8.5%. Excluding the impact of the disposal of Europcar, this growth should have been 9.7%, compared to the previous forecast of 8%. For the fourth quarter only, sales increased by 12.3%, or 16.7% excluding the disposal of Europcar. These performances reflect the active strategy of the Group and the good trends of its markets.
