Lincoln County, OR, August 17, 2000 --
The Central Oregon Coast Association (COCA), with headquarters in Newport
Oregon, announced today a signed agreement with TravelHero.com, a leading
provider of Internet travel services. The partnership provides all
of COCA s member lodging properties with online reservations and booking
systems for guests planning trips to Lincoln County on Oregons Central
Coast.
Using TravelHero.coms large visitor information database, the COCA reservations and booking system will be operational in September. Visitors to the COCA website (http://www.orcoast.com/coca) will be able to select and book from the widest range of locations, rates, and lodging types. The agreement provides all its member lodging properties an expanded presence on the world wide web. The visitor association added the joint effort between the two organizations creates the important link between convincing a visitor to come to the central Oregon Coast for their overnight destination and actually booking a stay. COCA is dedicated to making the reservation process quick and easy, while at the same time ensuring comfort, cordiality and good customer service. We worked with COCA to provide the best Internet booking engine to all their members so that consumers everywhere can make intelligent informed lodging reservations with any COCA member property. said Steve McCarthy, Director of Operations for TravelHero.com. Its a win-win for TravelHero, COCA members and the public planning overnight trips to the Central Oregon Coast. The agreement provides COCA website visitors with unprecedented access to TravelHero.coms comprehensive database of bookable properties in Oregon. Users of the COCA website may look for lodging using the TravelHero.coms drill down data mining model. When a user gets to their destination city page, they can look at that propertys amenities to be sure it meets their needs. Then, with a few simple clicks, they are able to make a reservation.
