  Harrah�s Entertainment Invests $5 million in Zoho; 
Will Implement Zoho to Streamline 
Purchasing Processes at 21 Properties
LAS VEGAS, April 6, 2000 - Harrah�s Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) announced today it has entered into an agreement with privately held Zoho Corporation, (www.zoho.com) the premier online hospitality marketplace, to consolidate and streamline Harrah�s purchasing processes and reduce back-of-house operational costs through Zoho�s complete hospitality procurement solution, which offers access to the full range of products and services used by hospitality organizations coupled with ready access supply chain services. 

The agreement includes a $5 million investment by Harrah�s Entertainment into Zoho. Harrah�s Entertainment Chief Operating Officer Gary Loveman is a member of Zoho�s board of directors.  �We�ve invested more than $100 million in technology that enables us to serve the 19 million customers now in our ever-growing database with the gaming industry�s most sophisticated player-loyalty program,� said Phil Satre, Harrah�s Entertainment Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
 

�Now we can leverage our technological lead further through this agreement with Zoho, which provides us with a simple, centralized, cost-effective way of buying services, supplies and equipment online for our hotel-casinos nationwide,� Satre said.

Gary Loveman added: �The Zoho alliance will enable us to efficiently consolidate suppliers and their products in one location and permit Harrah�s Entertainment employees additional time to concentrate on customer service.� �We expect that overall purchase prices can be reduced by approximately 5 percent to 10 percent of Harrah�s purchases after all suppliers are added to Zoho. This would be quite significant,� Loveman said.  Loveman added, �The user-friendly Zoho system will simplify and speed up analyses of purchasing data, allowing managers to focus more time on revenue-generating operations.�

Knowledge Management: Zoho Information Services will facilitate more informed decision-making at Harrah�s by providing a wide range of standard and custom reports capturing key information such as spending levels by product, supplier, or general ledger code. This will give Harrah�s executives for the first time, accurate insight into real-time buying patterns and all costs associated with procurement.
