Just Opened TownePlace Suites by Marriot in Kennesaw, Georgia |
| ATLANTA (April 3, 2000) - Atlanta-based Day
Hospitality Group (DHG) recently opened its 10th hotel, a TownePlace Suites
by Marriott at 1074 Cobb Place Boulevard in the Barrett Office Park in
Kennesaw, an Atlanta suburb. The 83-suite, extended stay hotel consists
of two buildings, each with three stories and all interior corridors.
Warren Schatzle serves as General Manager with Carlos Guerra as the Operations
Manager.
The company also owns and manages the nearby Fairfield Inn-Kennesaw, winner of two �best in the nation� awards for cleanliness and maintenance. The new hotel will fill a definite need.� Intended for the guest who plans an extended stay of several weeks or more, the new hotel features studio suites, one-bedroom suites with an office or two-bedroom suites. Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and microwave oven. The public areas feature living-room ambiance complete with wingback chairs. Opening Benefits Children�s Wish Foundation, DHG�s Community Partner As part of the opening celebration, Day Hospitality Group highlighted
its corporate commitment to charitable giving by announcing a contribution
to Children�s Wish Foundation, its community partner. A non-profit
organization whose mission is to bring to life the dreams of terminally
ill children, Children�s Wish receives $1 per room sold during the first
month of operation of each new DHG hotel. The company will
present the foundation with a minimum of $1,000 to facilitate the wish
of at least one child from the community.
