Dolce Completes $7-million Renovation at Fregate; Positioned as a Four-star Conference and
Golf Resort Along Mediterranean Sea
PROVENCE, FRANCE  (February 24, 2000) Frégate, a four-star conference and golf resort owned and managed by Dolce International, has just completed a one-year, $7-million renovation and expansion project adding 33 new guest suites, additional meeting and exhibit space, and a deluxe indoor pool and spa complex.

Explains Dolce International Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andy Dolce, Since our purchase of the resort in 1998, we have been eager to expand Frégate to better accommodate larger meetings. The resort now boasts 133 guest rooms and suites and 14 meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 people. In addition, our multi-national clientele was eager for us to construct our new indoor pool complex and fitness facilities to better accommodate their recreational needs. The enhancements position Frégate as a deluxe conference resort year-round.

The indoor pool complex, complete with saunas, massage rooms, deluxe fitness center, mens and womens locker rooms, and Jacuzzi, is enclosed by a solarium offering captivating views of the Mediterranean Sea.  The resort has also substantially upgraded the quality of both its 18-hole and 9-hole golf courses with improvements to the fairways and greens. The expanded clubhouse now features La Restanque, a 100-seat restaurant that also offers 180 seats for dining al fresco. The Brasserie-style fare at La Restanque is a wonderful casual dining alternative.

Included in the expansion project was the construction of the 2,500-square-foot Frégate room, viable for both banquets and meetings for up to 200 people. Extensive exhibit space was also added and is ideal for car launches, a specialty of the resort. Says Frégate General Manager Giovanni Donati, Our increased exhibit space, coupled with our close proximity to the world renowned Castellet Race Track, will reinforce Frégates position as an ideal location for automotive industry meetings and events.

Nestled amid olive groves, vineyards and medieval villages overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Frégate combines the charm of timeless Provence with the advanced communications technology and dedicated conference appointments required for a successful meeting. The hotel is located just 35 minutes from Toulon Airport, 45 minutes from Marseille International Airport and 90 minutes from Nice International Airport.

Dolce International, the global leader in learning through meetings and leisure, is the only American-based conference center company operating in Europe.  In addition to Frégate, Dolce International also owns and operates the Hôtel du Domaine de Chantilly, a conference hotel and golf resort outside of Paris, and Vaalsbroek, a conference hotel located in Vaals, The Netherlands. The Company also represents a growing portfolio of conference hotels, conference resorts and private/corporate centers in North America.
