Wilshire joined an elite group of top 100 hotels in the continental United
States and Canada in Travel & Leisure magazine�s 1999 World�s Best
Awards, its 4th annual readers� poll.
The hotel, which made its debut on the 1999 awards list, placed 37th
with a score of 78.8 in the poll, and the highest score was 85.3. Four
Seasons triumphed overall by having 16 properties in this top hotel category
-- the highest number of properties managed by one company.

 Celebrating
its 72nd anniversary, the hotel is a complete business and vacation destination
at 9500 Wilshire Boulevard, in the heart of Beverly Hills. There are 120
suites, in classic and contemporary styles, among its 395 guest rooms;

menu with Provencal accents; a Health Spa with special massage and beauty

Regent International Hotels History
| Regent International Hotels was founded in Hong Kong in January 1971
as a joint venture between Mr Robert H. Burns, who became Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer of the company, and Tokyu Corporation of Japan.
From 1971 to 1979 the company opened and managed a number of prominent
hotels, but gained truly international recognition in 1980 with the
opening of its
flagship property, The Regent Hong Kong. It was the first purpose-built
property in the group, creating a property in Hong Kong that was unique
and bringing a new dimension in amenities and service to hotels not only
in the city, but through out the world.
In 1992 Regent was acquired by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, which
continues to manage the nine Regent Hotels in Bangkok, Beverly Hills,
Chiang
Mai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore, Sydney, and Taipei.

In November 1997, Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, one of the major operating

hotels from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
