OCTOBER 29, 1999 - WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV -- Ted J. Kleisner, President
and Managing Director of The Greenbrier, announced the appointment of Ann
Walker as Executive Director of Sales for the historic, Mobil Five-Star,
AAA Five-Diamond resort located here, effective immediately.
"I am pleased that Ann Walker will be assuming this new position to
lead our outstanding sales team well into the new century," Mr. Kleisner
said. "It is doubly gratifying because it marks Ann's return to America's
Resort(r), where she had been an exceptional national sales manager," he
added.

association, corporate and other group meetings," Mr. Kleisner said.
Ms. Walker, a resident of nearby Lewisburg, is a graduate of Randolph
Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Prior to returning
to The Greenbrier, where she held various positions in the sales and marketing
organization from 1983 to 1995, Ms. Walker was associated with resorts
in West Virginia and Virginia. She has held positions on the boards of
the Southern West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Leadership West
Virginia and the Hospitality Partners Committee of the Insurance Conference
Planners Association Board of Directors. In addition, she is active
in many local, regional and national professional organizations with membership
in the West Virginia Society of Association Executives, the Carolinas Chapter
of MPI, West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association, the Insurance
Conference Planners Association and others.
