|Englewood, CO – June 1999 - Richfield Hospitality Services president
and CEO Thomas O’Leary announces President’s Performance Awards to Richfield
managers generating the greatest revenue improvements in 1998 among the
company’s portfolio of more than 50 hotel management contracts nationwide.
“Hotel owners look to Richfield for a performance advantage that begins
with the on-site management team,” said O’Leary. “President’s Performance
Awards spotlight team leaders who have increased their hotel’s profitability
by blending the hotel’s assets with the variety of Richfield services to
maximize financial performance.”
Earning honors in the economy lodging category was the Comfort Inn Washington Gateway West team led by general manager Holly Dingman.
Also earning honors in the economy category was Scott McEwan, general manager of the Comfort Inn Herndon management team.
O’Leary noted that each hotel’s financial improvement came as a result of applying a complex blend of available Richfield options, including implementation of effective revenue building strategy, property accounting, human resources administration, information systems, cash management, purchasing services or insurance procurement.
“Every hotel has its own challenge and unique keys to success – there’s no cookie-cutter solution. Each of the general manager winners has led his or her team in analyzing the unique needs and resources of their property, then applying the best tools to make a significant and lasting financial impact,” O’Leary said.
O’Leary also pointed out that President’s Award achievements reflect Richfield’s success in increasing asset value under a variety of flags. Richfield manages properties under brand names including Sheraton, Hilton, Holiday Inn and Choice Hotels.
Recently, the company was named to manage the Whittier Hilton and inked a contract renewal with the Pleasanton Hilton, California properties owned by the same hotel group. Owners of The Wisp Resort, a mountain retreat in Maryland, also recently renewed their management contract with Richfield.
