The 1,014 Room Buena Vista Palace Resort Spa
to be Renamed
the Wyndham Palace Resort Spa in the Walt Disney World Resort
Multi-million dollar capital improvement campaign underway

DALLAS, Sept. 15, 1998 -  Wyndham Hotels Resorts is pleased to add the award-winning, strategically located 1,014-room Buena Vista Palace Resort Spa in the Walt Disney World(R) Resort to its resorts portfolio. The resort, which will become the Wyndham Palace Resort Spa in the Walt Disney World Resort on November 17, 1998, is owned by Patriot American Hospitality, Inc. (NYSE: PAH).

The 27-acre Wyndham Palace Resort Spa in the Walt Disney World Resort features four towers of rooms (the main tower stretches 27 stories high) and a $15 million suites complex. In addition, all rooms in the original tower building underwent a $4.6 million room refurbishment last year. In early 1999, Wyndham International will begin a multi-million dollar capital improvement campaign designed to elevate the property to Wyndham's upscale standards. The plan includes renovations and upgrades of the guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms and food and beverage areas, as well as the addition of numerous upscale products and services.

According to James D. Carreker, chairman and CEO of Wyndham International, "The addition of the Wyndham Palace Resort Spa to our ever-growing branded portfolio of upscale resorts is congruent with the growth path Wyndham is currently pursuing. Orlando is a premier destination for both business and leisure travelers and we are thrilled to be able to answer the needs of our many Wyndham vacationers, meeting planners and corporate travelers who have wanted a Wyndham property in Orlando." The addition of the Wyndham Palace brings the total number of Wyndham hotels in the Florida resort market to seven with a total of 3,983 rooms.

"The Wyndham Resorts portfolio, with the addition of the Wyndham Palace Resort Spa, is rapidly becoming one of the industry's finest, upscale collection of resorts," according to Brian Gamache, president of Wyndham Resorts. "The capital improvements and the enhancement of 'The Wyndham Way' service standards, all encompassed under the Wyndham brand resort portfolio, are coming together to literally create a new upscale resort standard for the industry."

The current upscale resort portfolio owned by Patriot American Hospitality, Inc. includes the former Williams Hospitality Group properties in Puerto Rico, the Wyndham brand resorts in the U.S. and the Caribbean, and new upscale resort acquisitions by Patriot American. The new Wyndham Resorts brand portfolio will be reconfigured in the fall of 1998, based on a combination of these properties. The Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Resort Spa and the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort are two recent resort additions to the Wyndham brand portfolio.

European-Style Spa

The Wyndham Palace also features a full-service European-style spa, the largest spa in a Central Florida resort, offering more than 60 traditional spa services, including relaxing massages, therapeutic hydrotherapy, rejuvenating facials, revitalizing body wraps and soothing aromatherapy, along with several specialties tailored for the convention attendee:  "Meeting Relief Neck and Shoulder Massage" and the "Anti-Stress Back Treatment."  Spa guests can also experience the full-service beauty salon, expansive fitness center featuring a Reebok Skywalker and a variety of Life Fitness equipment, private lap pool, personal one-on-one training, and delicious spa cuisine prepared by the resort's own spa chef.

Meeting Facilities

The resort's 44 meeting rooms comprise more than 90,000 sq. ft of flexible meeting space.  The innovative and versatile design allows seating for 2,080 while accommodating smaller groups in an intimate atmosphere.  Meeting facilities consist of two major ballrooms, plus an expansive exhibition hall and spacious pre-function areas.  There are also nine additional breakout rooms and six suites that have been converted into small meeting and banquet rooms.

"The Wyndham Palace Resort Spa is a strong addition to Wyndham's meetings portfolio," said Les Bentley, president of the Wyndham Hotel Group. "The 90,000 sq. ft. of meeting space complements our collection of premier meeting facilities, the largest of which are the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas, offering over 300,000 sq. feet of meeting space, and the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel with 55,000 sq. ft." Additional examples of Wyndham properties offering large meeting facilities are the Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Resort Spa with 45,000 sq. ft.; the Wyndham Miami -- Biscayne Bay with 43,000 sq. ft.; the Wyndham Miami Beach Resort with 40,000 sq. ft.; and, The Buttes -- A Wyndham Resort in Tempe, Ariz. with 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Additional Resort Features

Thirty suites in the tower are VIP suites, each featuring a kitchen, living and dining room, and one to five bedrooms.  Sixty-five of the guest rooms have been converted into EverGreen(TM) Rooms, which are smoke-free, odor-free rooms featuring the latest technology recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as filtered air and tap water and non-dyed bathroom tissues, towels and linens.  All rooms and suites in the resort have private balconies or patios and new ADA-compatible D.I.D direct inward dialing telephones with computer and fax hook-up, speaker phone capabilities and voice mail systems.

Entertainment

The resort is ideally located within walking distance to Downtown Disney featuring the Disney Marketplace, offering more than 35 specialty shops and restaurants; Pleasure Island, Disney's expansive adult nighttime entertainment complex; and the all-new West Side, which features Planet Hollywood, The House of Blues, Gloria Estefan's Bongos Cuban Cafe, the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, the Virgin Megastore and the AMC 24 Movie Theaters Complex.
