Prior to his current position, Glennie was manager of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City for two and a half years and previously amassed ten years with Rockresorts in various management positions. Subsequently, he relocated to Washington, D.C., to work for Lincoln Hotels. The Waldorf-Astoria followed, where he oversaw a $100 million renovation to re-establish the property as one of the premier hotels in the world. Glennie received a B. S. in Hotel and Catering Administration from Surrey University.

Situated on 356 beautifully landscaped acres, the Boca Raton Resort & Club is one of the country's premier resort destinations. He quarterbacks an impressively trained labor force of almost 2,000 people. Under his leadership, Glennie and his management team continue to set the strategic direction for the Boca Raton Resort & Club, formulate the Resort's business plan and position the property for long and short-term operational success. The Resort completed a record operating year in 1992 and consequently demonstrates that an award-winning resort and profit can go hand in hand. Glennie has made capital improvements a priority with an on-going program that responds to emerging trends. Over the last ten years, the destination resort has invested $55 million in renovation, refurbishment and product expansion. This commitment has been matched only by the Resort and Club's investment in its staff to meet the challenge of delivering personalized, consumer-driven service at a sizable property. Glennie has introduced progressive staff development programs including literacy classes for its employees and wellness seminars. Quality assurance is fulfilled with the assistance of sophisticated internal and external monitoring systems.

In a market where membership has its privileges, Glennie introduced the concept of the Premier Club at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, a tremendously prosperous venture which restructured the existing membership program to yield both substantial initial cash values and secured income for the future.

Michael Glennie and his wife, Dianne, currently reside in Boca Raton, Florida, with their daughters Hayley and Allison.
