IHG Opens the 286-room Crowne Plaza Tulsa - Southern Hills in Oklahoma

Completing Renovation and Conversion of the Former Hilton Hotel Owned by
McSam Hotels and Operated by Packard Management Group


ATLANTA, GA - September 17, 2012  – IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)] today announces the opening of the Crowne Plaza Tulsa, Okla. The eleven-story, 286-room hotel underwent a conversion from a Hilton and features newly redesigned guestrooms and public spaces.

Located at 7902 South Lewis Ave., the Crowne Plaza Tulsa – Southern Hills is conveniently located close to the Creek Turnpike, U.S. Highway 75 and Interstate Highway 44. Nearby businesses include Direct Energy, CitiPlex Towers, ENGlobal, LynnCo, Valerus, T.D. Williamson, Inc., Zurich Insurance Group, ConocoPhillips, Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway and Oral Roberts University. The Oklahoma Surgical Hospital, ranked one of the top hospitals in Oklahoma, is also nearby.

For travelers who want to experience Tulsa’s entertainment and recreational activities, the hotel is near the Oklahoma Aquarium, Jenks Riverwalk Crossing, Tulsa Hills Shopping Center, River Spirit Casino, Southern Hills Country Club and Turkey Mountain that has hiking and biking trails.

The hotel features 13,000 square feet of meeting space with five total ballrooms. The space can be configured into as many as six meeting rooms for smaller meetings.
