News for the Hospitality Executive
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 12, 2012)—Enric Garcia, of the Hotel Roger de Lluria, has been named the Luxe Worldwide Hotels 2011 General Manager of the Year.
The prestigious Manager of the Year title, which is presented annually to one General Manager from among 200 Luxe Worldwide Hotels, is awarded based on exemplary leadership, guest feedback, exceptional service, and outstanding community and staff relations.
A Barcelona native, Garcia joined the Hotel Roger de Lluria team in 2005, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining the hotel, he held former management positions at Global International Hotel Business and the Hotel Ciutat del Prat. Garcia is passionate about the hotel industry and aims to make all of his guests feel at home with his distinct customer service centered philosophy.
Hotel Roger de Lluria is a charming boutique hotel located in the city center, just minutes away from the shopping and cultural gems of Barcelona, including Paseo de Gracia, Plaze Cataluna, and Ramblas.
Said Garcia, “I delight in seeing people fall in love with Barcelona. From the architectural treasures given to us by a master like Gaudi, to the history imprinted in the streets of Barrio Gótico, the art treasured in its museums, the ocean, the weather, the life that is breathable all around—what´s not to like?” Garcia noted, “This is a great honor for me. I owe my success and the success of the hotel to a wonderful staff, loyal travelers, and the support of Luxe Worldwide Hotels—a true partner with us in our mission.”
“Enric is one of the best examples that we have in the Luxe Worldwide Hotels family of a devoted general manager that has used the platform and the opportunities we provide to soar to new heights. Since Enric came on board, the hotel’s Trip Advisor rating increased and is now in the top fifteen of Barcelona,” said Luxe Hotels Founder and Chairman Efrem Harkham. “He strives to make sure that every guest has a pleasant experience—and he does it with a smile on his face. Garcia’s commitment to quality, service, and relationships with guests and his staff are truly commendable.”
